The Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office Internship Program provides a practical educational experience in a friendly atmosphere for law, college, and high school students interested in the criminal justice system. Whether you are interested in a career in law enforcement, or just want to learn more about criminal justice, we welcome you to serve with us as an intern.
We are committed to exposing our interns to a wide variety of responsibilities in the office. From legal research and data compilation, to assisting our attorneys in the investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses, to law students licensed under Supreme Court Rule 711 appearing in court and conducting trials under the supervision of one of our attorneys - the best way to learn is by doing. Our interns assist us while building for their future.
